Welcome to our pan-University collaboration, honoring both the collective impact women have had on the University and the many ways UVA women are shaping the present and the future across Grounds and around the world.

Join us as we celebrate women’s history and “pay tribute to the trailblazers from the recent and distant past for daring to envision a future for which no past precedent existed, and for building a [world] of endless possibilities for all of its women and girls.” (2021 Presidential Proclamation)

Building on years of work to commemorate milestone anniversaries of UVA’s journey to full co-education, the Women’s Center shares events offered by University offices and student organizations throughout Women’s History Month.

Events listed are free and open to all, with virtual and in-person offerings most years, to engage interested members of the University community wherever they are.
